Measure wood twice. Tell jokes as often as necessary.
Joinery with character

ILGAS – Stairs go up.
Humour goes left.

We build and refresh wooden stairs, handrails and finishes. A good way to get upstairs — and something to show off on the way.

Please write only bad reviews

We already have too many good ones!

The praise shelf is full. We are collecting complaints now — to keep the carpenter on his toes.

Frequently asked questions

What affects the price?

Size, construction, timber, railings, finish and installation conditions. A proposal follows a discussion of your project.

Which timber should I choose?

Appearance, use and budget guide the choice. Oak, ash and other options can be discussed before production.

Can old stairs be renovated?

Yes, subject to the condition of the structure. Photos help with the first assessment; some damage needs an on-site inspection.

Where do you work?

Travel is agreed for each project. Include the town in your enquiry so we can discuss availability.

Got stairs?
We have ideas.
